I was born in New South Wales. I couldn't live without music. I play golf left-handed. My favourite band is Panic! at the Disco. I used to be religious. I support the Brisbane Roar. I'm afraid of heights. I don't like killing insects. I have no allergies. I am 182cm tall. I have not travelled outside of Australia. Once, I bit a raw onion. My eyes are blue. At present, I am richer than I've ever been, which is kind of disappointing. I work in a factory. I love children. I often wonder what people are thinking when I'm talking to them. I find cricket incredibly boring, but I still watch it. I have obsessive compulsive disorder. My attention span is ridiculously short. I've been involved in two car accidents. I love crunchy peanut butter, sour worms, and Skittles. Energy drinks have taken over my life.
Told You This Would Happen was originally Two Hand Tap That before we realised we were the only ones laughing and changed it. The band was founded by myself and Nickolas Bell after a night/s of heavy drinking. We recorded our first songs with a Guitar Hero microphone and a program called Audacity. We are currently recording our first album which is untitled at present. I write all of the lyrics, and play bass. It has been almost a year since the band in its entirety formed. All of our songs have unnecessarily long titles and big words. The full lineup is Nick (guitar), Dina Rienecker (drums), my brother Kieran (also on guitar), and me (vocals/ bass).
Told You This Would Happen came to a grinding halt when I was re-admitted into hospital again. However, as a band we had been losing momentum for a while. In the wake of the fall out though, armed with only a computer and a basic knowledge of music theory, I started to write songs by myself, something I hadn't been able to in the past. Thus, Aah Yea was born.
In hospital, I wrote what was basically an albums worth of music. A far stretch from our roots in Pop/ Punk/ Alternative, Aah Yea, from my perspective is an opportunity to move forward and embrace a completely different genre and style.
